Our Position On Current Issues

ARParty : November 24, 2009
  • Health Care Reform: We Oppose the passage of ANY mandated or government run single payer health care program. We believe that the passage of any such bill violates our constitution and that government control of the health care system will grant government excessive power over the economy and the lives of Americans. The role of government is not to act as a business or run entitlement programs but to pass legislation to regulate a particular industry's and/or business so as to promote equality, fairness and competition in a particular industry.

Therefore, we support reform of the independent insurance & health Care industry including TORT reform of the legal system and the removal of the government ban against interstate sales by health insurance companies to foster greater competition and lower prices. We further support reform that simply addresses the 10% of uninsured individuals, through and assigned risk insurance pool or similar type program, not the entire population.

  • Cap & Trade: We are vehemently opposed to ANY program of this nature. Passage of this bill, without the following conditions having been meet, will lead to an immediate hidden tax on business and all Americans, energy costs will sore by 40% or more for all, directly creating a cost increase of every item produced in this country. The passing of this legislation as proposed will, once again, place undo financial burden on America's Business and tax payers. The conditions for such a proposal are as follows:
    • 1.) Both Independent and undisputable scientific proof as to the dangers of the worlds green house warming issues are proven and accepted by the global community.
    • 2.) Proof that the Carbon Tax/Credit will achieve the desired success as opposed to less costly alternative measures or staged regulations and solutions provided by a impartial scientific community.
    • 3.) And most importantly of all, that ALL other countries agree to abide by same terms and conditions simultaneously

  • Government Stimulus: We are Opposed to any further stimulus spending. Both history and sound basic economics throughout our history, of both recession and depression, has proven time and time again that Government stimulus spending does not and cannot work.  Stimulus spending is purely a waste of our tax dollars that ultimately go to some influential legislator's Pork Barrel imitative. Instead we favor creating an enhanced economic environment by lowering both corporate and individual taxes thus putting more money back in the hands of business and industry, who create the jobs, and the American people who drive the economy. Stimulus comes from business and the consumer having more disposable income to create new industries, businesses, jobs.

  • TARP Spending: We Oppose any further TARP spending to prop up the already over-valued markets or mismanaged banks and business. Doing so is rewarding banks and business for their failed policies and management. Our system of Capitalism and laws was specifically designed to allow and adjust for failure. In many cases, throughout our country's growth and history, failure ultimately lead to more stable, stronger industries, business and economies. Failure is the systems way of both correcting and balancing everything out within any industry segment or economy. Governments insistence on interfering with the system purely leads to falsely propped up economies and businesses. We further oppose governments intentions to use repaid TARP funds for anything other than paying down the $12 Trillion Dollar National Debt as required by law.

  • Auditing the Federal Reserve: We Support annual auditing of the Federal Reserve. Its time the American people are made aware of how our country manages its money and the solvency of the Federal Reserve.

    WHY A CONVENTION OF STATES?

Simple: to bring power back to the states and the people, where it belongs. Unelected bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. shouldn’t be allowed to make sweeping decisions that impact millions of Americans. But right now, they do. So it all boils down to one question: Who do you think should decide what’s best for you and your family? You, or the feds? We’d vote for the American people every single time.
