Europe roiled with strikes and marches as citizens protested austerity measures--which include cutting social services and increasing taxes--which governments are enforcing as they try to climb out of the European debt crisis. At issue for Europeans is the belief that the austerity actions impact the rank and file while billions were spent to prop up failing banks. While citizens marched in the roads, a leading United States Treasury official urged European politicians for making sure that heavy-handed austerity doesn't derail the progress made toward stimulating global economic growth. Crowd around the austerity:
A day of austerity demonstrations was shown all throughout Europe on Wednesday. There was a march across Europe with hundreds of thousands of people. Reuters reports that the protests were led by trade unions, which say austerity will slow economic recovery and punish the poorest citizens. Trade unions organized protests in 12 European capitals to demonstrate against spending cuts and pension and labor market reforms. Banners were waving in Brussels, Belgium saying "No to austerity" and "Priority to jobs and growth" with a gathered crowd of 60,000 in Europe.
Austerity centered on altering social programs by far the most:
There is one major reason that the austerity demonstrations in Brussels are happening. It is because member states with high unemployment are running up deficits to fund their social programs which lead the European Union Commission to come up with the proposal of penalizing these member states. The Huffington Post reports that the EU proposal is something that Germany supports the most. Of course, that means that the country of France disagrees with it. France doesn't like the concept of strict rules deciding things and thinks that is should actually just be sanctions. Elsewhere in Europe, Greek doctors and railway employees walked out. Trains and buses were shut down by Spanish workers. The bank bailouts were protested by one man in Ireland by simply blocking the Irish parliament with a cement truck.
U.S. advises that Europe works on getting austerity amounts lower:
Amid all the austerity protests, a top United States of America Treasury official going to Frankfurt implored European officials to exercise restraint. The Wall Street Journal reports that Americans and Europeans disagree about whether stimulus or austerity is the solution to a weak global recovery. The U.S. is urging more stimulus as Europe heads further toward tax increases and spending cuts. The weak global demand is best fixed with the support of the lasting recovery instead of austerity, says Lael Brainard. Brainard is the United States Treasury Undersecretary for International Affairs.

A typical concrete mixer uses a revolving drum to mix the components. For smaller volume works portable concrete mixers are often used so that the concrete can be made at the construction site, giving the workers ample time to use the concrete before it hardens. An alternative to a machine is mixing concrete or cement by hand.
